I assume you mean "work/life" balance. Standing up for what is right, or what is important to you, is fine as long as you can afford to do so. Work/life balances diminish in importance when you're hungry.

I would think it would matter the amount (or lack there of) of micro management in a company. Plasticity just does not seem to work with Xers I know (including myself).
